First Lap

When I started with this as a pencil sketch, I just drew one set of eyeballs, then expanded from there. I did it all on a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. It stayed a pencil drawing for a couple years, and I finally inked it in during “Inktober”, an annual challenge for artists. After that I scanned and colored it in. When I decided to make a puzzle, this was the image I choose because it was so busy. I even added in a few more elements like flags, the grand stand and course markers to make it extra overwhelming.
