White-crowned Sparrow

White-crowned sparrows use “unihemispheric slow-wave sleep,” which lets them keep half of their brain awake for weeks at a time while migrating (I think I can do that lap swimming). They can travel up to 300 miles in a single night during migration. They can cover 2,600 miles from Alaska to California.
