Here’s the original story of how the fake pit pass story got to be in MXA.
In 1985 I was working at JT Racing, and we were just starting to develop protective gear for the “new” sport of mountain biking. I was surprised how many motocrossers didn’t know about mountain bikes.
Here’s the story behing the infamous photo: Dave Miller lost his battle with cancer. He passed away, too young, in the Spring of 2020, and now we’re just left with all the cool bikes he built, and the memories. Racer, tuner, innovator he was a So Cal moto legend.
